Join us on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin for the Big Canberra Bike Ride on Sunday 18 February 18. There's something for everyone with rides to cater for all levels of ability - 5 km, 20 km, 68 km and 120 km.

Register in person at the event hub on Saturday from 12 - 4pm and Sunday from 6am until 15 minutes prior to your ride.

     
     

    5km Family Friendly Ride

    The 5 km Family Friendly Ride starts at the Big Canberra Bike Ride event hub on Rond Terrace. We will head west down Parkes Way which will be closed to traffic, turn at the tunnel, and return to a huge welcome back at the event hub.

    A winner with the kids, this ride will include entertainment throughout. 

    Start time: 9:30am.

    The 5km ride is free.

    Register at the event hub on Saturday 12 - 4pm and Sunday 6 - 9.15am

    20km Big Canberra Bike Ride 

    The 20 km ride will start at the Big Canberra Bike Ride event hub on Rond Terrace, head down Parkes Way on closed roads, and around Lake Burley Griffin to a big welcome back at the event hub.

    Start time: 9:00am.

    Regular entry $40 + $10 late registration

    Pedal Power member entry $30

    Child entry (13 years and over) $20

    Child entry (under 13) free with adult

    * Additional $10 for non-members if registering at event hub

    68km Big Canberra Bike Ride 

    The 68 km ride starts at the event hub on Rond Terrace, and will head down Parkes Way and then take the Urriara-Cotter loop out towards the Brindabella Ranges, before heading back to the shores of Lake Burley Griffin and a big welcome back at the event hub. This event will be timed. 

    Start time: 7:15am

    Regular entry $100 + $10 late registration

    Pedal Power member entry $90

    Child entry $35

    * Children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 13 years must be pre-approved.

    * Additional $10 for non-members if registering at event hub

    120km Big Canberra Bike Ride

    The 120 km ride starts at the event hub at Rond Terrace, and will head down Parkes Way, take a scenic route out to the Brindabellas and then back again through Commonwealth Park for a big finish back at Rond Terrace. This event will be timed. 

    Start time: 6:45am.

    Regular entry $120+ $10 late registration

    Pedal Power member entry $110

    Child entry $45

    * Children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 13 years must be pre-approved.

    * Additional $10 for non-members if registering at event hub

    Registration includes

    • A Big Canberra Bike Ride participation medal 
    • Refreshments at aid stations along all routes
    • Access to event hub with music, family entertainment, kids activities, food vendors and stalls until 2pm
    •  Access to discounted Pedal Power ACT membership.

    Pedal Power ACT membership provides insurance coverage for your ride at the event, and all year. You can also buy insurance coverage for just the day of the event. 

    Online registrations closed midnight (AEST) Tuesday 13 February. No changes can be made after online registrations have closed.

    Late registrations can be made in person at the event hub on Rond Terrace on Saturday 17 February 12 pm to 4 pm and Sunday 18 February from 6 am to 15 minutes prior to start of your ride. 

    On-day registrations close 15 min prior to the start time of each ride.

     
     

    Rider packs

    Rider packs can be collected from the event hub on Saturday 17 February from 12 pm to 4 pm and from 6 am on Sunday 18 February, the day of the ride.

    Please bring your Australian Standards-approved bike helmet - you'll need to show this to collect your rider pack!
